St. Bonifacius, MN -The Polars Women's Soccer team faced of with the Northland College Lumberjills for the first contest of UMAC play and came out on top 3-0.
From early in the first half the Polars brought their offense with six shots coming early in the match. In the 24th minute the Polars scored their first goal of the match from the foot of
Ella Hosmer. Crown would get four more shots in before the half with the score still at 1-0. Just two minutes in to the second half the Polars found their second goal of the evening off of the foot of
Emma Domka. Twelve minutes of play later and Crown found their third and final goal of the match off the foot of
Aletheia Fisher.
Emma Domka totaled 5 shots with 3 of them being on goal adn scored her first goal of the season.
Ellie Schanbacher totaled 4 shots and 1 on goal.
Abigail Shull and
Aletheia Fisher totaled 3 shots each with Fisher scoring her first goal of the season as well.
Ella Hosmer scored her first goal of the season.
Rachel Fuller finished with a clean sheet and totaled 1 save.
The Polars move to 1-4 on the season and 1-0 in UMAC play and will travel to the University of Northwestern to take on the Eagles on Saturday, September 16th at 7:30pm.
