Cross Country Races in Wisconsin

Eau Claire, Wis. – The Crown cross country teams took part in a massive regional meet hosted by UW-Eau Claire on Saturday.  Over 775 runners took part in the meet.

Abby Pausch and Greta Greniger ran for the Crown women, with Pausch finishing 97th out of 364 runners.  She ran the six kilometer course in a time of 24:51.78, just four seconds off her personal best.
Greniger finished in a time of 32:13, 30 seconds faster than her time at St. Olaf earlier this season.

The Crown men were led by Jeremiah Van Acker, who finished 37th out of 416 runner and set a new school record with a time of 25:54.70.  Van Acker was the top finisher from the UMAC in the field. 
Austin Carlson ran a time of 28:11.42, this time moves him up to third on the Crown All-Time list.  This time is a personal best as his best time last year was 29:08.

Josh Hagen ran 29:59.19 with his personal best time he moves into 15th on the All-Time list. 

Michael Gregoria ran a season best time of 32:17.33.  This time qualifies him for the NCCAA National Meet later in the season.

Ethan Safford ran a season best time of 35:52 improving on his time from last meet of 38:43.

The Crown runners will next host the St. Boni Invite on October 14th in a final tune-up before hosting the UMAC Championships on October 29th
