DUNDAS, Minn. --- Crown College Softball split with the Carleton Knights on Saturday as they began their season. In game one, junior
Olivia Christopherson pitched a gem, getting the win, striking out seven, pitching a complete game, only allowing one run, and only allowing four hits to lead the Storm.
The Storm struck first in the game when a
Liz Kemp-single drove in
Samantha Collins. After the Knights knotted up the game, junior
Raquel Gonzalez singled in first-year
Kiara Hurt to retake the lead. Senior
Olivia Dols then had an RBI fielder's choice to score sophomore
Telma Roesler. Roesler had the one extra-base hit for Crown in the contest.
In game two, Dols and senior
Zoe Roberts were the only two to record a hit in the contest. Sophomore
Maddie Noble received the start for the Storm and pitched two innings. First-year
Ashley Earick pitched 2.1 innings of relief, and first-year
Taylor Krueger finished up pitching for the Storm.
Crown Softball next plays on March 6 when they take on the Edgewood College Eagles at the Augsburg Dome Tournament.
