ST. PAUL, Minn. --- Crown College was honored on Wednesday when the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) named 41 Crown students their 2019 Fall Academic All-Conference award winners. The UMAC also honors the top team GPA for each sport, and Crown College Women's Cross Country took that honor, with a 3.818 GPA, the best individual team GPA in Crown College history. Crown Women's Soccer led the College with the most selections with 13 individuals chosen.
"I'm proud of our teams and our school's academic performance," said Head Women's Soccer Coach Jamie Ross, who also serves as Crown's Director of Athletics. "Our student-athletes at Crown put in hard work to balance academics and athletics, and they've been incredibly successful at that this semester."
The UMAC set a new total record this year with 523 athletes selected to the list, which requires the student-athlete to maintain a 3.5 GPA average during the semester in which they compete.
