MILWAUKEE, Wis. --- Crown Women's Soccer grandly opened the season on Friday, defeating the Blue Angels of Mount Mary convincingly, 6-0. Senior forward Anna Kragt couldn't have asked for a better start to the season, scoring a hat trick. Sophomore midfielder Sidney Manske scored her first career goal, and junior Sophomore Hailey Carter found the back of the net. Lottie Ellis scored the last goal late in the contest to cap the rout. 

Junior goalkeeper Michaela Cowman pitched a shutout in the contest, stopping all four shots headed her direction and earning a win to start the year 1-0. The Storm outshot the Blue Angels an impressive 36-7 in the game. 

Crown stays in Wisconsin for another contest on Saturday, with a morning matchup against Lawrence University at 10 am.
