Roesler Named UMAC First-Team All-Conference

ST. PAUL, Minn. --- Crown Softball first-year shortstop/outfielder Telma Roesler was honored this past week as she was named to the 2019 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) All-Conference First Team. The Hastings native set single-season school records in runs (37) and doubles (12), along with boasting the best OPS on the team (.913). Additionally, she led the team with 56 total bases along with spectacular defensive play, with several diving catches in center field and recorded a team-high 49 assists. Roesler was the tenth first-team selection in Crown Softball's NCAA history, all during Head Coach Jamie Ross' tenure. 

First-year first baseman Liz Kemp was also honored with an All-UMAC Honorable Mention selection, as she batted an impressive .393 with a team-high 42 hits and 24 RBIs. The Ladywood High product showed a knack for putting the ball in play, with only two strikeouts in 107 at-bats. Senior outfielder Demi Brezina was named the school's 2019 UMAC All-Sportsmanship selection.
