ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Seniors ran the day for Storm Men's Soccer on a rainy night with the Martin Luther Knights in town for a non-conference matchup as seniors
Chad Anenson and
Harvey Holcombe both scored in the 2-2 draw.
Crown came out with pace and aggression and took the first goal on a strike from senior
Chad Anenson rebounding first-year
Grant Moody's attempt. Unfortunately, the Storm had the lead taken from them early in the second half after two Knights' corner kicks went Martin Luther's way. However, senior defender
Harvey Holcombe played hero when he scored on a feed from fellow senior
Mason Shrewsbury to force overtime with under ten minutes remaining. The game remained tied from there as the Storm drew with the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference rival 2-2.
Holcombe and senior
Zach Skorik both received yellow cards in the match. Junior goalkeeper
Foster Browning made seven saves in the contest, several crucial to keeping the game alive late. The Knights outshot the Storm 23-13 in total attempts, but only barely edged out Crown 8-6 in shots on target.
The Storm next head to Northland as they start the conference stretch with seven conference matches out of their next nine contests.
