ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. --- Crown's second men's soccer game of the season matched them up with an undefeated MIAC team, St. Mary's, who stayed undefeated by defeating Crown, their third straight win against the UMAC.
Senior
Ger Jones scored for Crown in his second straight game and in an eerily similar way, stealing the pass from the keeper to a defender, and putting it above the head of the St. Mary's goalkeeper. That tied the game up at 1-1 in the fourth minute.
Unfortunately, Crown lost due to the strong shooting performance from St. Mary's, who scored on some crazy shots including a cross off the top post. Senior goalkeeper
Eli Etzel had six saves before being relieved by sophomore
Keaton King.
The Crown men continue their season with their next home game on Saturday at KleinBank Stadium facing Nebraska Wesleyan after heading to Minneapolis to face Augsburg on Thursday.
