Minneapolis, Minn. — Crown struggled again in their second doubleheader of the season as they played Loras College, who bested Crown in five innings both games, 12-2 and 13-1.
In game one, both of Crown's runs came off a
Lis King home run, her first of the season. King led the UMAC in home runs last season, and her first scored both herself and
Cassidy Valenzuela. In game two, King was the only baserunner to cross home plate, scoring on a double hit by
Laryssa Vik in the fourth inning. Valenzuela had the only other Crown hit in the game.
King and first-year
Olivia Christopherson both took their second losses of the season. Crown plays tomorrow against Augsburg at the Auggiedome.
