Stevens Point, Wis. — The Crown women faced the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point women's soccer team on Tuesday. Crown held with Stevens Point in the first half, only down 0-1, but the game got out of hand in the second half, with Crown eventually falling to the Pointers 0-10.
Freshman goalkeeper
Michaela Cowman added 22 saves to her season, doing what she could despite the barrage of shots against her. Cowman now has 49 saves in three games this year. Unfortunately this game, Cowman didn't have a lot of help, with Crown being outshot 0-58 with 32 of the Pointers' shots on goal.
The women next play a home game against Grinnell on Saturday, at noon. Grinnell, a member of the Midwest Conference, is 1-1 so far this season.
