Minneapolis, Minn. — Crown faced a double header at Augsburg's indoor facility on Saturday afternoon, the second day of back-to-back doubleheaders. They fell to Augsburg 2-6 in the first game, and 4-7 in the second.
Senior leadoff batter
Janelle Williams once again put together an impressive performance, with four hits during Saturday's game (her second consecutive day with four hits) including a steal in the first game and two doubles in the second match.
Junior
Cassidy Valenzuela also had a double with two hits and a RBI in the first game against Augsburg. Sophomore
Demi Brezina had two hits and a steal in game one. Sophomore
Liz King got her second start of the season, striking out four in her complete seven innings. King also had a double, a RBI, and a run in game two.
Also in the second game, both seniors
Kate McLaughlin and
Moriah Sawyer had multiple hit games. McLaughlin had two RBIs, and Sawyer had one RBI and one run.
Sophomore
Kaylea Kidder had her first start of the season, going six innings with only three earned runs.
Crown next plays in Florida for their spring break trip.
