River Falls, Wis. — The men's and women's track teams were competing at the Falcon Winter Classis last weekend in Wisconsin, facing off against MIAC, WIAC, and fellow UMAC opponents.

Junior Joshua Coleman finished second in the men's 400 meters with an impressive time of 54.20. Freshman Kaylee Fickle finished ninth in the women's 800 with a time of 2:47. Fickle also ran the mile with a time of 6:07 (finishing twelfth), with fellow freshman Mackenzie Nelson finishing tenth with her first sub-six mile of the year. Nelson also finished fourth in the 3k with a time of 12:07. Freshman Ian Galligan finished fourth in the men's mile with a time of 5:06.

In the field, Jalen Phoenix finished eleventh in a crowded men's shot put field hitting 12.37, one of the best in his Crown career. He also finished seventh in the weight throw with a 12.53.

Crown next competes on Saturday at Bethel University's Gene Glader Invite.
