Morris, Minn. - The men's and women's track and field teams concluded their season this past Friday and Saturday as they competed in the UMAC Outdoor Conference Championships held in Morris, Minnesota at the University of Minnesota - Morris.  In their first season, the teams showed marked progress from meet to meet and were hoping to see that hard work culminate into some competitive finishes in the final weekend.

Josh Coleman posted the highest finish of any of the athletes with a fifth place finish in the 400 meter dash to score four points for the men's team.  Jalen Phoenix finished seventh in the shot put for two points.  Cody Bedlion posted an eighth place finish in the javelin to also contribute one point.  The team also earned two points when the 4 x 100 meter dash relay team of Coleman, Grant Roethel, Sam Kes, and Josh Edlund came in fifth.

On the women's side, Sarah Holmquist scored three points on the day finishing sixth in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase as Mari De La Cruz posted an eighth place finish in the long jump for one point.

Both teams earned 7th place finishes, showing improvement from the conference indoor meet and capping off a successful first season of track and field at Crown College.
