St. Peter, Minn. - The Crown Track and Field teams we back at it on Saturday as they traveled to St. Peter, Minnesota to compete in the Lee Krough Invitational hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College. Minnesota State - Mankato, Luther, Bethany Lutheran, Gustavus, St. Mary's, Winona State, Concordia Moorhead, St. Benedict, Minnesota Morris, and St. Scholastica were all in attendance at this meet.
The top two finishers on the day was thrower
Robert Smartnick who placed 11th of 47 throwers in the javelin with a throw of 144 feet and eight inches.
Josh Coleman participated in his first outdoor meet and placed 7th of 29 runners in the 400 meter dash with a run of 53.3 seconds.
Both the guys and girls have shown improvement that has encouraged head coach
Bill Braunger as they head towards the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) meet.
