St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown College cross country teams hosted their second meet of the season, and their second meet this week, welcoming St. Thomas, St. Benedict, and Concordia St. Paul to campus. The teams bumped up to the standard 6K/8K format for this race as they begin preparations for the meat of their season.
St. Thomas ran away with the men's race, claiming 27 of the top 29 finishers. Junior Jacob Gerhartz won the men's race in a time of 27:31.
Josh Coleman was Crown's top finisher, placing 34
th in the 40 man field in a time of 35:08.
The women's race featured St. Benedict claiming the team title with sophomore Brook Rasmussen of the Blazers finishing first in a time of 24:15.
Freshman
Hannah Myers finished 30
th in the 44 runner field to lead Crown with a time of 30:23.
Both teams will return to action on September 19
th at the St. Olaf Invitational.
