St. Paul, Minn. - The Crown College women's basketball team opened their season on Monday night with a tough non-conference matchup against the Wildcats of St. Catherine's University in St. Paul.  The Wildcats pounced on the Storm 25-10 in the first quarter en route to a 89-58 win over Crown.

Crown was hindered by 30 turnovers on the game which led to 28 points for the Wildcats.  Crown also allowed 21 offensive rebounds that led to 25 extra points as well.  In the game, Crown was limited to 34.8% shooting from the field.

Crown was led by Jessica Klaustermeier with 13 points and five rebounds on the night while Hannah Malone chipped in 10 points and two assists.  Sam Mauer contributed eight points and five rebounds as well.

Crown's next contest is against St. Benedict's on Friday, November 20th in St. Joseph, Minnesota.
