St. Bonifacius, MN — Tuesday night on campus came to a close under the lights as Crown men's soccer wrapped up a busy home triple header featuring women's soccer, volleyball, and men's soccer.
The Polars hosted Bethany Lutheran in the final contest of the night, looking to cap off a full day of Crown athletics with a strong conference showing. The Vikings struck twice in the first half, building a 2-0 advantage that proved to be enough to secure the result.
Despite the early deficit, Crown continued to battle after halftime. Goalkeeper Logan Jacobson added another strong performance to his impressive season résumé, collecting 13 saves on the night. Jacobson and the Polars' back line kept Bethany Lutheran off the scoreboard in the second half, giving Crown a chance to work its way back into the match.
Men's soccer will now get some time off before returning to action next Wednesday, when the Polars host North Central at 7 p.m.
